About the Opportunity

Peninsula Cleaning Services, Inc. is hiring dependable, detail-oriented General Cleaners/Janitors to support cleaning and sanitation operations at a Medical Building/Emergency Room in Newport News, VA. If you take pride in your work, thrive in a structured environment, and want to be part of a team that keeps the community clean, safe, and healthy, this role is for you.

Requirements:

• Clean and sanitize patient areas, exam rooms, restrooms, and common spaces in a medical/ER facility
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas
• Empty and dispose of trash and biohazard waste per facility protocols
• Wipe down and disinfect high-touch surfaces, including doors, counters, and equipment
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and liners
• Follow all federal healthcare cleaning regulations and safety standards
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to your supervisor

• 2+ years of janitorial experience in a commercial or medical/healthcare setting
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass a background check
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety
• Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to work independently and stay on task with minimal supervision
• Comfortable being on your feet and physically active throughout your shift

Schedule & Shifts Available

Monday – Sunday (Full-Time & Part-Time shifts available):

• Overnight: 12:00 AM – 7:00 AM
• Day: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Evening: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
