Step Outside with Girl Scouts

On Sunday, October 4 from 2 to 4 p.m., Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast will be hosting Step Outside with Girl Scouts, a free event for girls and their families to find out about and register for Girl Scouts, while having fun doing outdoor activities. The event will take place at First Christian Church, located at 1458 Todds Lane in Hampton. During the afternoon, girls and their families can participate in a variety of activities, including geocaching, relay races, learning knot tying, making outdoor-themed crafts and more. Studies show that outdoor experiences have both physical and emotional benefits for girls, yet in today?s world, children are spending half as much time outdoors as they did 20 years ago. Girl Scouts is committed to giving girls opportunities to explore and discover in the outdoors while learning new skills, trying new things, making new friends and having fun.
