DESCRIPTION:The Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce's Youth Leadership Alliance\, is a program for high school students with demonstrated leadership abilities. The mission of YLA is: increase awareness of community  needs\, opportunities\, problems and resources\; to provide a greater understanding of contemporary issues through interaction and problem solving with peers and community  leaders\; help students understand "the big picture" of the Peninsula\, identify the opportunities here for a career and family development\; expose them to volunteer experiences outside the realm of school\; and to enhance communication skills\, critical thinking\, and decision making abilities.\n\n	 \n\n	Sponsorship Opportunities:\n\n	\n\n	Building Excellence Sponsor: $500.00 per team\n\n	\n		You and your company have the opportunity to tap into the innovative ideas of the emerging workforce\, while demonstrating your relevance to the business community on the Peninsula.\n\n\n	\n		Adopt a team of students for five days on the journey towards excellence\n\n\n	\n		Two   day sessions require onsite presence from your company or representative.\n\n\n	\n		Day 2:  Centering on mentoring the youth through a theoretical business situation using your company's expertise and/or core values.    \n\n\n	\n		Day 5: Observe your team deliver a presentation on their business proposal using the concepts that are the basis of your business success.\n\n\n	\n\n	Additional Sponsorships:\n\n	\n\n	Building the Foundation Sponsor..........$250\n\n	Setting the Pace Sponsor..................$175\n\n	\n\n	Click here for more details
