The speeches themselves are as unique as the individuals that give them.  The common thread however\, is that each one shares a message from the City to its citizens.  In Newport News\, a key message is that great leadership and great results grow out of successful partnerships with the community.  For Mayor Price\, the Inaugural State of the City Event will provide a venue to celebrate with City stakeholders\, citizens and businesses alike\, the accomplishments that have been achieved and to look to the future as we plan for years to come. "\n\n\n\n\n\nSpecial opportunity for event Sponsors: \n\n \n\nOrganizations that sponsor the event at the Silver level or above will have the opportunity for two representatives to join Mayor Price\, other City Officials\, and honored guests for an exclusive pre-event reception.  The reception will begin approximately 30 minutes before the event and will provide attendees with time to speak informally with City leaders.
